Task Force

A task force is a grouping of starships brought together to undertake a specific mission under a single commander. Generally in the Ninth Fleet a task force is commanded by a Task Force Commanding Officer who usually holds the rank of Commodore or Rear Admiral who has operational and administrative control over roughly two dozen ships and starbases of various classes.
