Appearance/Personality
Jeremy stands at 5' 6", and weights a little over 100lbs. His eyes are radiant blue and his hair a pitch black and frequently disheveled. He normally wears loose clothing that looks a size or two larger than normal. He has a charming smile, as most young boys do, and his slim, small frame allows him to weave precariously easy in and out of the many nooks and crannies of the vessel.
He has a great interest in music, and can sometimes be found about playing his violin for crew members. Once, he was even asked to play for a Bajoran delegation on their way to Earth. Two of his most prized possessions are his violin, and his pet cat Lynx.
He was once friendly, outgoing, and mischievous; occasionally a hint of laughter will come back into the depths of his eyes, but anymore he is sullen and quiet. Since his mother's death, he turned introvert, his violin songs now only sad and slow, and his steps slow and methodical. Anyone granted enough time to look at him will see he is ever trapped in a haunted past, and he is always calculating and thinking, though of what is his mystery.
Background
Jeremy Baylor is a 16 year old half human, half El-Aurian. His father was killed while on a Starfleet mission when he was only 3, and since then he has lived with his mother, Jessica, on board the USS Avery, until recently it was announced the Avery would be decommissioned. Upon the news, Jeremy and his mother decided to settle on board Starbase 60.
Shortly after they moved to the Starbase, Jeremy's mother was murdered in a series of attacks taking place during a conference on board. Jeremy took a three month trip back to Earth to bury her in the Quebec province of Canada. An orphan and without any real family to turn to, Jeremy returned to Starbase 60, though why is a puzzle to many, sometimes even to himself.
He excelled in his studies, and is set to gain his equivalency certificate within the year. When he's not set back in a nook playing his violin, he can often be found exploring through stacks of PADDs on various history accounts from across the galaxy. His fascination with his El Aurian past coming to blossom, he began trying to gather as much information as possible, though why is a mystery to anyone, as is the living quarters of the boy, which he keeps locked and solitary.
He hopes to someday become an important person, but as of yet he has yet to know in what capacity.
